Regional representative for Galerie MCDE and the éditions of Pierre Chareau across the Greater Arab & African Region.
Pierre Chareau was an architect-decorator whose integration of light, material and movement placed him among the pioneers of French modernism. For too long regarded as a mere furniture-maker, his visionary talent was finally recognised with his masterwork, la Maison de Verre in Paris, built between 1928 and 1932 with the architect Bernard Bijvoet.
His creations always resisted the principle of the series, nourished instead by an intimate knowledge of the cabinetmakers and art metalworkers alongside whom he worked. That devotion to the hand is the thread Galerie MCDE carries forward today.
Since 1982, from 6 rue de Verneuil in Paris, Galerie MCDE has given life to Pierre Chareau's repertoire of furniture and lighting, perpetuating his demanding savoir-faire in collaboration with carefully chosen French artisans.

From the Bloc Auvent and the Mouche to the Boule and the bois et métal desk, each icon is re-editioned by hand in France, faithful to the architectural intelligence of Chareau's original drawings.

Every edition is realised by carefully selected French cabinetmakers and art metalworkers, continuing the craft that Chareau himself held above all. No two pieces are ever quite the same: object and narrative remain inseparable.
Chareau editions at home around the world's most coveted interiors, published and photographed in their living context.
As the Regional Representative of Galerie MCDE across the Greater Arab & African Region, Meems bridges the savoir-faire of French craftsmanship with the vision of the region's most discerning collectors, architects and interior designers.
Each project is a narrative, aligning objects of meaning with the client's values, space and story. We advise on selection, acquisition, placement and bespoke commissioning, ensuring each piece finds its rightful home.
